In his 17th season in the NFL, Matthew Stafford is out to one of the best starts by a quarterback in NFL history. Stafford leads the NFL with 25 touchdown passes in 2025 with just two interceptions to his name and his Rams sit tied atop the NFC West at 7-2.

He is one of only six quarterbacks in NFL history to toss at least 25 touchdowns and fewer than five interceptions through their first nine games of a season. He joins Aaron Rodgers in 2020, 2014 and 2011 – all MVP seasons – Patrick Mahomes in 2020 and Tom Brady‘s 2007 MVP season.

Stafford has slung a quartet of touchdowns in each of his last three games, and with another four in Week 11 against the Seahawks, he can become the third player in NFL history to throw for four touchdowns in at least four consecutive games within a season. Hall of Famers Peyton Manning – five straight games in his 2004 MVP season – and Dan Marino – four straight games in his 1984 MVP season – are the only others to accomplished the feat.
