Aaron Rodgers injury update: Steelers QB suffers apparent issue in pre-game warmups

Pittsburgh Steelers (4-3) quarterback Aaron Rodgers may have injured his throwing hand during pre-game warmups ahead of Sunday’s Week 9 home contest against the Indianapolis Colts (7-1). As shown on CBS , Rodgers looked to be in some discomfort, flexing his hand and pointing to a spot on his ring finger and pinkie.

Obviously, with it being his throwing hand, this will be something to monitor throughout the game. Rodgers has remained healthy all season, so the last thing he or the Steelers want is something like this to become an issue moving forward.

The good news for Pittsburgh is that Rodgers seems to be OK. He started Sunday’s game and completed two passes on the team’s first offensive drive.

Rodgers, 41, has played well in his first season with the Steelers. He entered Week 9 having thrown for 1,489 yards, 16 touchdowns and five interceptions on 68.3% passing. Pittsburgh’s problems have been on the defensive side of the ball but certainly, Rodgers is doing his part.
