Aaron Rodgers shares what it means to join Pittsburgh Steelers: 'It's just different here'

Aaron Rodgers has embodied being a Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and he hasn’t taken an official snap yet. But after playing in Green Bay for nearly two decades, Rodgers is thankful he’s with another historic franchise ahead of the 2025 season.

As it stands now, Rodgers is getting more comfortable with the offense, his teammates and the coaches. He’s also embraced the Pittsburgh fans, the “Yinzers.”

A Super Bowl title is always the goal and maybe if everything breaks right, Rodgers and the Steelers will be hoisting Lombardi No. 7. Either way, Rodgers bleeds black and gold.

“Pittsburgh is one of the cornerstone franchises in the NFL,” Rodgers said on The Pat McAfee Show . “Everybody knows who they are. There’s only a few of them, but it’s just different here. There’s a level of expectation based on the excellence that’s happened here, where you kind of come in and you expect to fall in the line, to embody what it means to be a Steeler and I really appreciate that, because I’ve been in Green Bay for 18 years, and it’s the same thing there.”

As far as Super Bowl LX is concerned, Rodgers believes the Steelers are one of 10 or 12 teams that win it all this year. After making the playoffs last year, the pieces are seemingly in place. Now, it’s time for Rodgers to turn back the clock a bit.
