Adam Schefter clears the air on Tyreek Hill trade rumors

Coming out of week one, Tyreek Hill already finds himself apparently on the trade block. However, ESPN’s Adam Schefter says there are no calls being made from either end for a deal to be made for the Dolphins’ receiver.

Schefter shared the latest on a potential trade for Hill while on ‘Get Up’ on Thursday. He reported that, for as much as it may have been discussed over this week, the Dolphins are not trying to trade away Hill and no other team in the NFL is checking in to trade for Hill.

“There’s been a lot of Tyreek Hill chatter and a lot of Tyreek Hill speculation, and I know it will keep going on and on. But, the fact of the matter? Let’s not let facts interfere with a good story. The facts are the Dolphins haven’t gotten any calls about Tyreek Hill. Zero. The facts are that the Dolphins are not looking to deal Tyreek Hill,” said Schefter.

Schefter, to be clear, went on to say that this didn’t mean Hill wouldn’t be traded, with a lot of time between now and the deadline on November 4th. There just hasn’t been any intrigue expressed in making a deal for him to this point, which would refute some reporting done coming out of the offseason or shared about him the past few days. Miami also isn’t there yet with Hill either as they try to come out of their start at 0-1.

“Now, look, we’re not idiots. We understand the Dolphins lost last week in embarrassing fashion. They think they’re going to turn it around. But, if they don’t, obviously, there may be calls for Tyreek Hill as the trade deadline approaches in late October, early November,” said Schefter. “But, as of today? Zero discussion about Tyreek Hill – today. Could that change? Sure. Absolutely. When teams lose, that changes the conversation and things are always fluid.
