Adrian Peterson arrested on serious charge in Dallas

Former NFL star Adrian Peterson was arrested for DWI in Texas, according to a report from TMZ. One of the league’s all-time greats at running back, Peterson was reportedly arrested in Sugar Land, Texas on Sunday morning.

Peterson was booked on two charges of DWI and one charge of unlawful carrying of a weapon, according to TMZ. This is his second arrest this year for charges related to drinking and driving.

The former running back was arrested in Minnesota in April after attending a public draft party for the Minnesota Vikings. He was charged with driving while impaired, a misdemeanor charge.

According to a report by ESPN, police officers saw Adrian Peterson driving 83 miles per hour in a 55-mph zone. After administering a blood test, officers observed his blood alcohol content at 0.14%, above the legal limit in Minnesota of 0.8%.

Peterson has also had domestic violence and child abuse cases in the past. He last played football in 2021.

On the gridiron, Adrian Peterson was virtually unstoppable. And his dominance in football started at an early age. He was a three-sport standout in high school at Palestine High School in Texas.
