We don’t think New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara is quitting his day job. On Saturday, the five-time Pro Bowler and 2017 Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year was in Chicago for NASCAR’s third-annual street race, the Grant Park 165, scheduled for Sunday. In 2021, the auto racing company named Kamara its first Growth and Engagement Advisor. Kamara celebrated the occasion by throwing the first pitch at Wrigley Field ahead of the second game in a three-game series between the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals. Well, first two pitches, technically. Kamara received a do-over after a rough first take, when he one-hopped his pitch well left of the plate. Unhappy with his effort, Kamara remained on the mound for a second attempt. While the accuracy issues persisted on pitch No. 2, it at least hit Clark the Cub’s glove, which was good enough for the versatile NFL back.
