Amon-Ra St. Brown injury update: Lions star WR leaves game with heavy limp

The Detroit Lions are hoping to enjoy Thanksgiving with an NFC North win over the Green Bay Packers. Doing so would go a long way toward winning the division, improving to 8-4 overall. However, they are currently playing without star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown .

An injury took place in the first quarter, forcing St. Brown back to the locker room. St. Brown was blocking on the play when a pair of offensive linemen rolled up on him. The FOX broadcast later showed him going back to the locker room, walking down with members of the training staff.

โ€œThis is not great news for the Lions,โ€ Burkhart said. โ€œAmon-Ra St. Brown heading back to the locker room. He is their best receiver and one of the best ones in the leagueโ€ฆ Got rolled up by two of his players. Just hope that heโ€™s okay and nothing serious.โ€

A few moments later, he was officially ruled questionable to return. Not what anybody in Detroit wanted to hear as the Lions make a late-season push.

St. Brown did not get an opportunity to make an impact on the game when out there. Detroitโ€™s passing game has been unsuccessful thus far, with quarterback Jared Goff missing on all three of his throws. Green Bay has done a great job getting pressure thus far.

Looking more long-term, the Lions will once again play on Thursday next week. The Dallas Cowboys come to town, giving both teams a normal week of preparation after playing on Thanksgiving.
