Global superstar Taylor Swift appears primed to reset every podcast listening record with Wednesday night’s release of the lastest “New Heights” episode co-hosted by her boyfriend and Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce and his brother Jason . Just don’t expect Chiefs head coach Andy Reid to be contributing to the listener count.
During a press conference following Wednesday morning’s training camp practice, the 67-year-old Reid — who likes to brag he helped set up his star tight end with Swift — joked he’s too old to be among the millions of listeners expected to partake in Wednesday night’s “New Heights” podcast show. But that doesn’t mean there won’t be Reids represented among the likely record-breaking downloads.
Here’s Andy Reid’s full answer when asked about the Taylor Swift @newheightshow episode.

“Listen, I’m like really old. My grandkids will be all over it,” Reid said Wednesday. “But I’m happy for them. Both of them like each other, and what a plus that is. They care about each other, and I think that’s the most important thing. The older you get, you want these guys to have somebody they can settle down with, that whole deal. I think it’s a neat deal for them — both of them.”
Wednesday will be Swift’s highly-anticipated first podcast appearance on “New Heights,” which coincides with Tuesday’s announcement of the upcoming release of her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl.” This will be her first album since “The Tortured Poets Department,” which was nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammys.
