The “Day of Reckoning” boxing event was a spectacular showcase of skill and power, particularly in the heavyweight division. Anthony Joshua’s dismantling of Otto Wallin over five one-sided rounds was a display of controlled aggression, with Wallin’s nose bloodied early on. Joshua’s victory, however, was overshadowed by Joseph Parker’s stunning unanimous decision win over Deontay Wilder, marking a significant upset.
The card also featured Daniel Dubois’s redemption against Jarrell Miller, overcoming early pressure to secure a stoppage in the final round. European heavyweight champion Agit Kabayel surprised many by breaking down the formidable Russian puncher Arslanbek Makhmudov for a fourth-round stoppage.
In other fights, Frank Sanchez had a slow start against Junior Fa but eventually secured a seventh-round stoppage. The highly anticipated light heavyweight bout saw Dmitry Bivol retain his WBA title with a unanimous decision over Lyndon Arthur. Additionally, Jai Opetaia delivered a stunning one-punch knockout to Ellis Zorro, retaining his Ring Magazine cruiserweight title.
Daniel Dubois’s victory over Jarrell Miller was particularly noteworthy, as Dubois had to overcome the doubts about his heart and fighting spirit following two career defeats. Agit Kabayel’s win over Arslanbek Makhmudov was equally impressive, showcasing superior footwork and speed.
