The latest AP Poll rankings saw a shake up after Week 5 following multiple massive primetime games and significant results. It was just the latest great weekend in college football!
Alabama over Georgia, Oregon over Penn State, Ole Miss over LSU. The results are endless right? We’re not even halfway through the season!
So, let’s dive into the latest AP Poll Top 25 rankings following another great weekend of games. We’ll start at the top of the list!
Ohio State went to Seattle and beat Washington 24-6 in their first true road test of the season. It was a slow start, but the Buckeyes controlled the final three quarters.
Julian Sayin was very efficient and Jeremiah Smith had a backbreaking touchdown. Washington was limited to 234 total yards.
Oregon went into State College and beat Penn State in double OT. There are questions for James Franklin but not many for Dan Lanning.
Lanning’s been one of the best coaches in the land and he’s got a Heisman contender at QB in Dante Moore. In addition to stellar recruiting and development, how about landing Purdue transfer Dillon Thienemann? He had the game-winning interception.
Miami had a week off but is still undefeated and high up the AP Poll following Week 5. The Hurricanes are still the team to beat in the ACC but will have a desperate Florida State team next week.
That’ll be an in-state battle to watch for next week, but Miami has a Heisman contender at QB in Carson Beck and a ferocious defense.
Ole Miss made quite the statement against LSU, beating them 24-19 at home to stay undefeated. Trinidad Chambliss threw for 314 yards, one touchdown, one interception and 71 rushing yards.
The Rebels’ defense only allowed 57 rushing yards throughout the day and forced a Garrett Nussmeier interception. Ole Miss is a real player in the conference now.

Oklahoma had an off week as well following a 24-17 win over Auburn last weekend. The Sooners remained high up the AP Poll going into Week 6 and in just two weeks will take on Texas.
That’ll be the gauntlet of the Sooners’ schedule and they could do a little without QB John Mateer. He’s recovering from hand surgery.
Texas A&M held on with a 16-10 win over Auburn to remain undefeated on the season. Marcel Reed was limited to 207 yards and an interception though.
