The latest AP Poll Top 25 rankings are here following Week 7 of the college football season and prepare to debate! Based on the results from the weekend, teams are surely going to jump, fall and well, maybe stand pat!
Texas knocked off Oklahoma, Indiana beat Oregon on the road no less and Alabama keeps winning. So does Texas Tech by the way!
So let’s dive into the latest AP Poll rankings following Week 7. We’ll start with the top of the list.
Ohio State tops the AP Poll once again following another win in Big Ten play. This time, the Buckeyes beat Illinois on the road and they controlled the vast majority of the game.
Ryan Day wanted a better finish, as he said postgame. So if this team actually can get better, you might as well give them the trophy!
Miami had the week off following a win over Florida State, but the AP Poll considers them one of the best teams in the country. So let’s not forget these guys!
Carson Beck is firmly in the Heisman Trophy conversation as Miami has quite the QB this season, again. The Hurricanes are the team to beat in the ACC.
Indiana, that’s right, Indiana went into Oregon and beat the Ducks. Curt Cignetti and crew sit at the top of the Big Ten with Ohio State.
Imagine writing that sentence three years ago. Not only are they one of the best teams in the conference, they are one of the best teams in the country per the AP Poll.
Texas A&M had another impressive SEC win, this time a 34-17 romp of Florida. After being tied after the first quarter, the Aggies outscored the Gators 20-3 the rest of the way.
Mike Elko and crew are legit, hence the high ranking in the AP Poll. Halfway through the year, this is an SEC contender and a team that could make a deep run in the playoff.
Ole Miss had a bit of a scare against Washington State as they returned from a bye week. But the Rebels are still unbeaten and high up the AP Poll this week.
In the 24-21 win, QB Trinidad Chambliss showed up when he had to, throwing two touchdowns and running for another. Lane Kiffin is still unblemished in 2025.
Alabama beat Missouri for its fifth win in a row after a season opening loss to Florida State. While that loss looks lower quality each week, the Crimson Tide have hit a new gear.
They are taking care of business, Ty SImpson is slinging it and the defense is elevating week to week. Kalen DeBoer is pushing all of the right buttons right now.
