Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield will not practice on Friday after suffering a contusion on his throwing hand Thursday, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported Friday morning. The third-year Buccaneer underwent scans as a precaution and ruled out a more significant injury.
Per Pelissero, Mayfield finished practice Thursday after hitting his hand. He’s now day-to-day, giving backup quarterbacks Kyle Trask and Connor Bazelak some more shine on Friday.
