Adjusting to the NFL can be difficult for rookies, but each season, a few stand out almost immediately. Here are five who stood out in Week 9: In the Bears’ 47-42 road victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, Loveland (pick No. 10) caught the winning 58-yard touchdown from quarterback Caleb Williams with 17 seconds left. He finished with a season-high 118 receiving yards. The Michigan product is the first Bears rookie TE with 100-plus receiving yards in a game since Hall of Famer Mike Ditka in 1961 (via NFL Media’s Dante Koplowitz-Fleming). Had the TE not scored the late TD, it could’ve ended in disaster for the Bears. Chicago had burned all of its timeouts before the play. Williams compared watching Loveland race to the end zone to what Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr says during some of guard Steph Curry’s shots. “No, no, no … yes, yes, yes,” the QB said in a postgame news conference.
