The Cincinnati Bengals defensive backs let Jerry Jeudy have it postgame following a 17-16 victory against the Cleveland Browns in Week 1. Jeudy caught their attention this week after wishing other teams “good luck” in defending the Browns receiving corps.

The Browns receiver hauled in five of eight targets for 66 yards in Sunday’s loss. After that relatively moderate production, the Bengals DBs were vocal on their way to the locker room.

“Bengals DBs chanted ‘we need to worry about who?’ & ‘good luck who’ in locker room after beating Browns,” NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe posted on X. “Reference to Jerry Jeudy in-week comments that fueled them. Bengals CB Cam Taylor-Britt told me they got their swagger back & they’re out to rewrite defensive narrative.”

Cincinnati also forced a pair of interceptions from Browns quarterback Joe Flacco . That included one late in the fourth quarter with 1:30 remaining in the game.

On a day where the Bengals offense managed just 141 total yards, it was the defense that helped pull out the win. Another interception in the third quarter ended up leading to the go-ahead field goal on the next drive.

In the end, Cincinnati got a sweet victory against a division rival. This won’t be the only time these two teams meet this season, but Jerry Jeudy will have to wait all the way until Week 18 to get his revenge on the Bengals.
