Bills safety Damar Hamlin reacts to documentary following on-field cardiac arrest journey: 'Cried 90 times'

Damar Hamlin just shared his reaction to watching the documentary about his recovery from an on-field cardiac arrest. On X/Twitter, the Buffalo Bills safety wrote that he got emotional watching the project that was announced in 2023.

“Just watched the first final cut of my documentary.. cried 90 times,” Hamlin wrote. “Can’t wait for the world to see this thing!! Made so much progress in 2.5 years that it was humbling to relive some of the craziest moments of my life… wow.”

Per The Hollywood Reporter, the documentary is titled Did We Win, which references a question Hamlin asked from the hospital bed about the Bills’ game against the Cincinnati Bengals in January 2023. He was waking up from a medically induced sedation at the time.

Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest during the game, which was nationally televised on ESPN. The incident happened after Hamlin made a tackle, and first responders administered CPR and automated external defibrillation (AED) on the field. Hamlin was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition, and the game was suspended before being called.
