On Monday, the Chicago Blackhawks announced that forward Jason Dickinson has been placed on injured reserve. In response, the team has called up forward Oliver Moore from its American Hockey League affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs. When speaking to the media, head coach Jeff Blashill reported that Dickinson has traveled back to Chicago while the team continues its six-game road trip, and is considered week-to-week. Blashill also mentioned that he expects Moore to be in the lineup on Monday night, when the Blackhawks take on the Seattle Kraken. Dickinson’s placement on IR is retroactive to Oct. 30, when he left the Blackhawks’ matchup against the Winnipeg Jets early and was later diagnosed with a shoulder injury. Per the NHL’s IR rules, the 30-year-old will have to remain out of action until at least Friday, when the Hawks are scheduled to visit the Calgary Flames.
