In a welterweight clash at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, Blair Cobbs handed Adrien Broner a unanimous decision loss, marking a significant setback in Broner’s attempted comeback. From the opening bell, Broner appeared hesitant and disengaged, struggling to match Cobbs’ intensity. Cobbs capitalized on Broner’s lackluster performance, flooring him with a vicious left hand in the second round, resulting in Broner losing a tooth.
Despite surviving the round, Broner never regained his form, looking slow and out of sync. Cobbs maintained a higher work rate throughout the fight, overshadowing Broner’s sporadic moments of aggression in the later rounds.
