Brian Callahan hot seat: Adam Schefter reveals where Titans stand with head coach after brutal 2025 start

The Tennessee Titans are 0-4 for their worst start to a season since 2009. That has Brian Callahan already on a hot seat just a few games into his second season in Nashville.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter shared the latest on where things are with Callahan while appearing on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ on Monday. He said the Titans aren’t yet planning on making a decision about his future with them early in the season, but that that stance could change quickly if their year continues to trend the way that it has started so far.

“They haven’t won. A lot of unhappy people there,” said Schefter. “Again, you give these answers to some of these teams thinking, like – the Giants? I think the phrase we used at that point in time, no sense of urgency to change quarterbacks. They lose two games? They change quarterbacks. I think I would say the same thing about the Tennessee Titans right now. They’re not looking to change coaches right now.”

“Now, I think everybody could agree that they’re going to have turn things around and play better. Otherwise, there are going to be changes,” Schefter said. “They’re not planning and wanting to do anything right now, but, if losing like that continues, and you’ve got your number one pick coming out and saying the things he does? That’s an issue. That’s a red flag, and we’ll see how they decide handle it.”

Tennessee is one of four winless teams so far in the NFL along with the New Orleans Saints at 0-4 and then the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins at 0-3. Each loss has then gotten worse for the Titans as, after a competitive, eight-point loss in their opener at Denver, they’ve lost by 14 to the LA Rams and then by 21 to the Indianapolis Colts and by 26 in a shutout against the Houston Texans, who were also winless coming into yesterday’s game, the past two weeks in the division.
