Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Coen revealed where the team stands with wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. While speaking to reporters on Monday, Coen was asked if the team plans to trade Thomas, who has struggled this year.
“We have no plans on moving Brian Thomas Jr. at all,” Liam Coen said. “I’ve got a lot of confidence in him.” So far this season, Brian Thomas Jr. leads the Jaguars with 365 receiving yards, and his 27 catches are second to Travis Hunter , who has 28. However, Thomas is also tied for second in the NFL with five drops, according to ESPN.
The Jaguars selected Thomas in the first round (No. 23 overall) in last year’s draft, and he had a memorable rookie season. In 17 games, Thomas caught 87 passes for 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns, and those numbers led to him being selected to the All-Rookie Team and the Pro Bowl.
