Las Vegas Raiders coach Pete Carroll offered an update after tight end Brock Bowers left Sunday’s game vs. the Patriots with a knee injury. Bowers suffered the injury in the third quarter and did not return to the contest.

Speaking with reporters Monday, Carroll revealed that the tight end is considered “day-to-day.” He added that the longer week of preparation with the Raiders playing on Monday Night Football will give Bowers a bit more time to recover than usual.

“We’re just going day-to-day,” Carroll said. “Those guys are tough guys. They’re not gonna take the easy way out of this. They’re all gonna push to get right. These three days right now are really crucial. We got the day off today, tomorrow is workouts and then we have the Tuesday day off. That will be really crucial for us. I know the Chargers have that even more so with the break they have, but this will really help us and give us a chance.”

Prior to leaving Sunday’s game, Bowers recorded five catches for 103 yards. The Raiders hung on for a 20-13 victory in his absence to start the year off 1-0.
