Brock Bowers injury update: Raiders TE's status revealed vs. Colts

On Friday, Las Vegas Raiders head coach Pete Carroll said he expects tight end Brock Bowers to play on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. Bowers was a limited participant at practice on Wednesday and didn’t participate at practice on Thursday and Friday.

Carroll said the team wants to ensure Bowers is fully recovered. The second-year TE is battling a knee injury he suffered in the team’s season-opener against the New England Patriots.

Bowers  appeared  to suffer the knee injury when he absorbed a low blow near the sideline. On the next play, Bowers could be seen limping before walking off the field.

Before leaving the game, Bowers tallied five catches for a team-high 103 receiving yards. While Bowers hasn’t missed a game yet this season, he hasn’t been able to put up the same numbers he notched in Week 1.

In the Raiders’ following three games, Bowers recorded 14 total catches for 122 yards. Bowers will look to find his rhythm again this weekend after resting up on Thursday and Friday. After all, when healthy, Bowers is one of the best pass-catchers in the league.
