This marks Purdyโs third missed game of the season, while Jennings will miss his second game and Pearsall will miss his first game. The trio have played together in just two of San Franciscoโs four games this season (1-1). Backup quarterback Mac Jones will make his third start of the season for the 49ers. In his previous two starts, heโd led the Niners to wins over the Arizona Cardinals and New Orleans Saints.
The former Pro Bowler boasts 563 yards passing, four touchdowns and one interceptions in two starts. Purdy, in two starts, has put up extremely similar numbers. He has Jones beat with 586 yards passing, but has also tossed four touchdowns along with four interceptions. Although San Francisco has dealt with the injury bug all across its offense, it is averaging 368 yards per game (5th most in NFL).
