Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski is facing increased scrutiny for his handling of rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Stefanski made a questionable call in Cleveland’s preseason finale against the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday. The coach pulled Sanders and inserted backup QB Tyler Huntley during a two-minute drill late in the fourth quarter. The decision fueled the narrative that the coach is sabotaging the 23-year-old QB. He insisted that’s not the case. “I’m committed to his development, just like all of our rookies,” the coach said Sunday, via Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer. “So, we’ll continue to focus on getting all of our guys better. And that’s what we’ll stay committed to, and that’s what’s important to me.” If Stefanski is committed to Sanders’ development, why didn’t he let him run the two-minute drill?
