Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders appreciates the support he is receiving from President Donald Trump . While speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Sanders was asked about Trump praising his performance in the first NFL start on Sunday.
“He’s definitely been a supporter for a minute, so I’m just thankful for him even taking time out of his day to speak out his support,” Shedeur Sanders said, per 92.3 The Fan. After Sanders led the Browns to a 24-10 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, President Donald Trump went to Truth Social and shared his thoughts.
“Shedeur Sanders was GREAT,” Trump wrote. “Wins first game, career start, as a pro (for Cleveland). Great Genes. I TOLD YOU SO!”
That wasn’t the first time Trump spoke publicly about Sanders. During the 2025 NFL Draft, Trump went after NFL owners after Sanders wasn’t selected in the first round.
