Bryce Young injury update: Panthers reveal QB's practice status ahead of Week 8 vs. Bills

Carolina Panthers (4-3) quarterback Bryce Young was a non-participant in practice on Wednesday. Young, who suffered an ankle injury in this past Sunday’s 13-6 Week 7 road win over the New York Jets (0-7), was present at practice in uniform, getting work done on the side.

According to Joe Person of The Athletic, Young was walking without a noticeable limp. Head coach Dave Canales said that while Young did more Wednesday than the day prior, he is still considered day-to-day.

“I saw a little bit of it. He did more than he did yesterday, so that’s good,” Canales said. “That’s our plan right now is each day, try to push him a little bit more and see if we can get him out there in a different capacity. He wasn’t gonna be able to practice today but was working on the side. He was able to do some movement stuff, and we’ll just take it day-by-day and make the best decision.”
