NEW ORLEANS — In a thrilling Sunday night showdown, the Chicago Bulls clinched a 114-106 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans, securing a season sweep. Nikola Vucevic led the charge with a potent double-double, scoring 22 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, marking his 31st of the season. DeMar DeRozan‘s critical 24 points, highlighted by a decisive three-pointer in the dying moments, extended the Bulls’ lead to 111-106. Ayo Desunmu also made a significant contribution with 21 points, as the Bulls showcased their efficiency from the foul line, converting 19 out of 21 attempts.
Despite Zion Williamson‘s near triple-double performance and Brandon Ingram‘s 22 points upon his return, the Pelicans struggled to maintain their early lead and ultimately fell short. The absence of key players due to injuries and suspensions further hampered their efforts, leading to their second consecutive loss after a promising stretch of victories. The Bulls capitalized on this, overturning a 12-point deficit and demonstrating their resilience and strategic abilities to secure the win.
