Byron Buxton reiterates desire to remain with Twins for life

Outfielder and designated hitter Byron Buxton is the longest active member on the Minnesota Twins (51-55). The second overall pick of the 2012 MLB Draft has spent his entire career in the Twin Cities and is in his 11th big-league season.  There have been ups and downs throughout his tenure as a Twin, which has included many injuries. Thus far in 2025, we’ve seen the best out of a healthy Buxton, but with Minnesota five games out of a wild-card spot, trade rumors have arisen.  Buxton was asked about the potential of being traded at the All-Star game in Atlanta, which he quickly shut down. On Monday, he reaffirmed that desire not to leave Minnesota in a one-on-one interview with Chris Rose of Jomboy Media.  “For me, just letting, I guess, the world know this is where I want to be, this is where my family wants to be.
