The reason behind the altercation remains unclear, but the video captured Plant being swiftly removed from the scene by a presumed security guard. While Charlo refrained from retaliating, he did momentarily follow Plant before being redirected by onlookers. Plant’s parting words suggested that there might have been prior physical contact before the altercation, adding to the intrigue surrounding the incident.
Caleb Plant, a former IBF super middleweight champion known for his fight against Canelo Alvarez in November 2021, crossed paths with Charlo, the current WBC middleweight champion, who hasn’t competed since June 2021. The altercation has since sparked curiosity and speculation within the boxing community.
