Cam Ward wants to be involved in Titans HC search: 'I want to meet all of them'

A difficult 2025 season is nearing its end for the Tennessee Titans. The main objective will soon become finding the 22nd head coach in franchise history. Cam Ward made it clear Wednesday he wants to be involved in the search process.

“I want to meet all of them,” Ward said, via the team’s website. “Every coach who’s going to get the opportunity to come here, I want to meet them, have conversations throughout the whole process with them because that’s someone that I’m going to be here with for that time.”

The Titans fired head coach Brian Callahan after a 1-5 start to the season. The results haven’t been much different under interim head coach Mike McCoy . Tennessee is 2-12, in the running to the secure the No. 1 overall pick for the second consecutive year.

Next season will bring along a new era of Titans football. Ward will be the face of the operation, and he’s made it known to president of football operations Chad Brinker and general manager Mike Borgonzi  that he wants to be involved in finding the next head coach. Defensive- or offensive-minded hire, Ward will be ready to go.
