Capitals’ Dylan Strome out day-to-day, Ethen Frank called up

Some roster movement from the team in the U.S. capital. On Monday, Washington Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery announced that forward Dylan Strome is considered day-to-day with a lower-body injury. He will not be traveling with the team as it prepares to face the Dallas Stars on Tuesday night. The news comes hours after the Capitals called up forward Ethen Frank from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Hershey Bears. Defenseman Rasmus Sandin remains out as well, per Carbery. The Caps’ head coach didn’t say which of Sandin or Strome would be placed on injured reserve in order to open up a roster spot for Frank to be inserted into the lineup. Strome has been off the ice since he left just a few minutes into the first period of the team’s matchup with the Ottawa Senators this past Saturday.
