With one out in the eighth inning, the New York Yankees trailed 5-0 and were being held without a hit by Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Bryan Woo. Fast forward to one out in the 10th inning, and reigning AL MVP Aaron Judge stepped up to the plate with a chance to win the game. Judge did just that and delivered a walk-off sacrifice fly to complete the comeback, giving the Yankees a 6-5 win and a series sweep over the Mariners. New York’s ferocious comeback started in the bottom of the eighth inning when Jazz Chisholm Jr. recorded the first hit of the game for the Yankees. That was followed by a sac fly from Austin Wells and a pinch-hit two-run home run from Giancarlo Stanton to make it a 5-3 game headed to the ninth inning. Seattle brought in former All-Star closer Andres Munoz for the save, and he was not able to get the job done.
