Over two decades after Carmelo Anthony led the Syracuse Orange to the only men’s college basketball national title in program history, his son, Kiyan Anthony, had a strong first start for Syracuse (2-0) in a 83-43 win over Delaware State (0-2). Anthony scored 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting, including 2-of-4 from three-point range, while adding four assists, three rebounds and a steal as the Orange improved to 2-0 on the young season. The 6-foot-5 freshman came off the bench in Monday’s season-opening win over Binghamton, scoring 15 points while playing a team-high 29 minutes.
