As Micah Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys deal with the fallout from his trade request, CeeDee Lamb offered his reaction Friday. He expressed his disappointment in the franchise’s lack of action amid the situation.
It’s been a week since Parsons went public with his trade request amid contract talks with the Cowboys. Since then, he has been at practice, though not participating. However, he was reportedly receiving treatment Thursday for back tightness in the situation’s latest wrinkle.
Jerry Jones didn’t express much confidence Parsons would be in a Cowboys uniform for Week 1. Lamb, however, took a different tone. He predicted the star linebacker would still be with the franchise, but acknowledged Parsons has to do what’s best for him.
“I feel like he’s gonna be here,” Lamb said, via The Athletic’s Jon Machota. “Reaction was crazy. A little disappointed (in the process). But it is what it is. You gotta do what you gotta do and he’s gotta do what’s best for him and his family.”
Parsons and the Cowboys held talks about a new contract in the spring, but nothing came together as the offseason program rolled along and training camp approached. Things went to a new level last week when Parsons went public with his request to be traded.
