After missing the last four games with a high-ankle sprain, Dallas Cowboys star receiver CeeDee Lamb could be back in action this weekend. At the very least, he’s back in practice now.
Jon Machota of The Athletic reported Wednesday that Lamb was limited in Wednesday’s practice. However, “as long as he doesn’t suffer a setback the expectation is that he’ll play Sunday,” the veteran reporter wrote.
Dallas has been targeting the Week 7 game against divisional foe Washington for some time now. But whether CeeDee Lamb’s ankle would respond in time remained to be seen.
That he’s practicing on Wednesday is certainly a good sign. It’s further confirmation the timeline is holding.
“They are really beat up, but Lamb and others could be back, I’m told, next week,” ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler said prior to last weekend’s game at Carolina. “That is sort of the loose plan, depending on how practice goes, leaving the window open for them. So they’re going to be out Lamb (this week). He’s looking at this two-three week window where he’s been trying to return.”
