Celtics’ Jaylen Brown on a level with Larry Bird after latest performance

Jaylen Brown knew he was going to have to carry the Boston Celtics if they were going to contend during the 2025-26 season. With Jayson Tatum recovering from an Achilles tear, Brown has been making his case to be in the MVP conversation.  On Friday, Brown, playing in his second-straight game after sitting out for only the second time all season, continued to pick up where he left off. He went on another scoring tear, furthering a streak that has now reached a historic level and is worthy of being mentioned alongside a Celtics legend.  Brown scored exactly 30 points in 32 minutes, shooting an impressive 65% from the field, as Boston dismantled the struggling Indiana Pacers to the tune of 140-122.
