The Chicago Cubs have made their first big move of the offseason, landing young star Edward Cabrera in a trade with the Miami Marlins, per Michael Cerami of Bleacher Nation. Chicago has been looking to add a starter the entire offseason and land one of the best pitchers available on the trade market. The Marlins and Cubs agree to send Edward Cabrera to the Cubs. In return, the Marlins acquire the Cubs’ top outfield prospect, Owen Caisse, who’s a coveted player they have pursued for some time. At 23 years old, Caisse is a talented left-handed hitter with impressive plate skills and solid power, making him a candidate to contribute to the Marlins’ lineup immediately.
