Christian Darrisaw injury update: Vikings announce OT's status for Monday Night Football vs. Bears

by: Barkley Truax 2 hours ago BarkleyTruax

Vikings offensive tackle Christian Darrisaw has been ruled out of Monday night’s season opener against the Chicago Bears. Darrisaw was a part of the team’s inactives list, which can be viewed in full below:

Vikings:

QB Max Brosmer

S Harrison Smith

RB Zavier Scott

OG Joe Huber

OT Christian Darrisaw

DL Elijah Williams

Bears:

DB Jaylon Johnson

QB Case Keenum

LB TJ Edwards

DL Shemar Turner

DB Kyler Gordon

RB Roschon Johnson

OL Kiran Amegadjie

Darrisaw is still recovering from a torn ACL and MCL that occurred during Week 8 of last season. The Vikings will look to have their offensive lineman back in the lineup sooner rather than later this season.

Despite the injury, Darrisaw was present on the field before Monday Night Football doing some light workouts. It appears that the Vikings offensive lineman is getting close, however.

Elsewhere on the Vikings injury report, Smith is recovering from an illness from last month and did not make the trip to Chicago. Brosmer is the third quarterback and will only play if Vikings quarterbacks J.J. McCarthy and Carson Wentz suffer injuries.
