by: Nick Geddes 7 hours ago NickGeddesNews

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that Christian Watson is expected to practice Wednesday on a limited basis, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN. LaFleur added he’s “fighting to play” Saturday against the Chicago Bears.

“He’s fighting to play, for sure. Ultimately, it’s going through the process and seeing where he’s at. He’s got to prove it,” LaFleur said.

In addition to Watson, Green Bay is expecting to have wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) and defensive lineman Lukas Van Ness (foot) back at practice Wednesday. All of the other players who did not practice Tuesday, such as running back Josh Jacobs (knee/ankle), right tackle Zach Tom (back/knee) and safety Evan Williams (knee) among others, are likely to be out again.

Watson was hospitalized after this past Sunday’s 34-26 defeat to the Denver Broncos. Watson, who left the game early in the third quarter due to a chest injury, was evaluated at the hospital and traveled home with the team.
