The Washington Commanders delivered some positive news on Halloween. According to the team, quarterback Jayden Daniels will return to the starting lineup when the franchise takes on the Seattle Seahawks this coming Sunday.
Daniels missed this past Monday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs because of a hamstring injury. He also missed another two games this season due to a knee injury. In five games this year, Daniels has completed 61 percent of his passes for 1,031 yards with eight touchdowns and one interception. He has also rushed for 211 yards and one TD on 44 carries.
Marcus Mariota has filled in for Daniels this year, but he hasn’t been able to match the play of the team’s star quarterback. His memorable rookie season in 2024 set the bar high, as Daniels completed 69% of his passes for 3,568 yards with 25 touchdowns and just nine interceptions.
Daniels also rushed for 891 yards and six touchdowns and helped the Commanders get to the NFC Championship game. Now, he’ll be hoping to return Washington to its winning ways as he’s back in the lineup against Seattle.
