Jayden Daniels will indeed play in Week 14 versus the Minnesota Vikings.
Coach Dan Quinn announced Friday that the quarterback will return from the injured elbow suffered in Week 9 versus Seattle.
“Jayden threw a great week of practice, he was full Thursday, full today, he’s been cleared to play and he will start Sunday,” Quinn said.

Daniels wound up missing just three games after suffering what looked to be a gruesome injury, leaving the game in an air cast.
It’s been a season littered with injuries for the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year winner. Daniels missed games earlier this season with knee and hamstring injuries. In all, the second-year quarterback started six of 12 contests heading into Sunday’s action. Washington is 2-4 with Daniels as the starter and 1-5 with Marcus Mariota under center.
The Commanders have lost seven straight games (Weeks 6-13) after starting the 2025 season 3-2, tied for the longest active losing streak in the NFL (Titans and Giants also at 7).
