Commanders QB Jayden Daniels (hamstring) questionable to return vs. Cowboys

Copied!

Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday’s game against the Cowboys and is questionable to return.

Daniels was replaced by Marcus Mariota.

Daniels’ leg was twisted awkwardly as Cowboys linebacker Shemar James pulled the QB to the ground for a sack in the third quarter. Daniels tried to get off a pass while getting taken down but the loose ball was ruled as a fumble, which Dallas recovered.

Daniels got up to his feet gingerly and limped to the sideline with the help of his teammates.

Washington’s medical staff looked at Daniels in the blue medical tent before escorting him to the locker room. The Commanders were trailing, 34-15, when Daniels exited, but Mariota threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown.

Around the NFL will have more on this news soon.
