Dallas Cowboys center Cooper Beebe is expected to miss six to eight weeks with a high-ankle sprain, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Rapoport expects the Cowboys to place Beebe on injured reserve.
Beebe limped to the locker room after the game with the help of other players. He reportedly used crutches following the Cowboys’ 40-37 win over the New York Giants. Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer didn’t have an immediate update on Beebe at the time.
Beebe was key to the Cowboys’ victory. In the win, Dallas only gave up three sacks. In turn, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott completed 38-of-his-52 pass attempts for 361 yards and two touchdowns, compared to just one interception.
Beebe is in his second season with the Cowboys. The organization selected him with the No. 73 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Beebe played and started in all 16 of the Cowboys’ games as a rookie last season.
In his debut campaign, Beebe allowed just three sacks on 1,059 snaps. Pro Football Focus graded him as the 20th best center in the league. As a fresh face on an offensive line that had lost longtime leader Zack Martin , Beebe quickly became a fan favorite in Dallas.
“He’s commanding the communication within the group, and demanding people listen,” Cowboys offensive coordinator Klayton Adams said of Beebe. “He’s making those with conviction… He’s strong, he’s got good balance, and he’s tough and consistent.”
