Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman Tyler Smith knows that facing Green Bay Packers edge rusher Micah Parsons will be interesting. While speaking to reporters on Thursday, Smith talked about facing his former teammate on Sunday.

“It’s gonna be different,” Tyler Smith said, per Jon Machota of The Athletic. “But I think we both understand as professionals, obviously, I have a lot of love for him as a person off the field and things of that nature, even on it. But when we step between the white lines, there can only be one winner. I got a star on my helmet. That’s all that matters to me.”

Smith played with Micah Parsons in Dallas from 2022 to 2024. The Cowboys selected Parsons in the first round of the 2021 draft. The team then selected Smith in the first round of the following year.

In the three seasons together, Smith and Parsons saw plenty of individual success. Smith was named to the Pro Bowl the last two years and was selected to the All-Pro Second Team in 2023. Parsons was named to the Pro Bowl four times and was named to the All-Pro Team three times.
