The Dallas Cowboys can now plug one of their defensive holes. On Sunday, Patrik Walker of the team website announced cornerback Trevon Diggs (left knee) will be removed from the physically unable to perform list and moved to the 53-man roster. It’s still unclear whether he will play in Dallas’ regular-season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 4, but he won’t be forced to miss the first four games of the season. The injury update is great news for the Cowboys, especially with EDGE Micah Parsons’ status for Week 1 remaining uncertain. The 26-year-old pass-rusher, who is set to play on the fifth-year option of his rookie contract, is seeking an extension and has requested a trade. Diggs has said he’s unsure whether his teammate will hold out of regular-season games. Diggs has battled knee issues over the past two seasons.
