Cowboys sign new RB after placing OL on injured reserve

The Dallas Cowboys announced Friday they have signed running back Malik Davis . In a corresponding move, Dallas has placed offensive lineman Rob Jones on season-ending injury reserve after he suffered a neck injury earlier in training camp.

Jones, 26, signed a one-year deal worth $3.75 million in free agency. He was expected to compete for a backup spot on the Cowboysโ€™ offensive line. Jones started all 17 games last season for the Miami Dolphins. He was reported to be facing a two-to-three-month recovery but will now miss the entirety of the 2025 season.
