The Dallas Cowboys are not quite dead yet in the NFC East race. A lot must go their way, including the final four games of the season. Dallas must win out and hope Philadelphia stumbles along the way in order to win the division. Not an ideal position to be in but still a fighting chance.
Sunday brings a matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Ahead of the primetime matchup, quarterback Dak Prescott was asked how he handles the emotions of his own game while watching the Eagles in hopes of a loss.
Prescott knows there is only one of those things he can control. However, rooting against Philadelphia does not come too difficult for him.
“I just got to go win every game,” Prescott said via Jon Machota of The Athletic . “That’s all I can control. I’m gonna root against them regardless, whether we were in this position or not.”
Dallas is coming off a loss to the Detroit Lions, one the franchise desperately needed. Thankfully, Philadelphia losing on Monday night kept the door open for the time being. Prescott hopes to continue his good form at home vs. Minnesota, another team fresh off a defeat.
