Dak Prescott injury update: Brian Schottenheimer reveals new issue for Cowboys QB

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is dealing with a hip injury, head coach Brian Schottenheimer announced Wednesday. Schottenheimer added that it’s “nothing major.”

“He’s going to be fine, but we’re going to be real smart with the tempo today,” Schottenheimer said.

It’ll be something to monitor ahead of the Cowboys’ Week 12 home game against the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday. Prescott, 32, has remained healthy this season after undergoing hamstring surgery which saw him miss the final nine games of the 2024 season.

The result has been a Prescott playing at a level near what we saw from him in 2023, when he finished second in MVP voting. Prescott has thrown for 2,587 yards, 21 touchdowns and six interceptions on a career-high 69.9% passing. He is first among quarterbacks with a 75.1 QBR.
