Before Jalen Carter could log a defensive snap on the season, he was took an ejection. Spitting on Dak Prescott was enough to get the Philadelphia Eagles star thrown out of the contest, also serving a one-game suspension. Not his finest moment, especially with the entire world watching on NFL opening night.
Eleven weeks later, Carter is set to once again face off against Prescott. If there is going to be any conversation between him and the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Carter will begin it. Even so, Prescott joked about what the interaction might look like.
โDepends on what he says first, but probably something friendly,โ Prescott said via Jon Machota of The Athletic . โGet on his good side.โ
Carter and Prescott appeared to be sizing each other up before the first offensive series for Dallas. Words were certainly exchanged but so was some spit from Carterโs end. A tough blow for Philadelphia in a rivalry game, even if they went on to get the win.
We should probably get used to these two going toe-to-toe. Prescott is a part of the long-term plans for the Cowboys, being in the first season of a four-year contract extension. Philadelphia does not have any plans to get rid of Carter either, holding two more years on his rookie deal. For entertainmentโs sake, more spirit conversations are more than encouraged.
