Maybe it never left but the Micah Parsons trade takes center stage again Sunday night. The Dallas Cowboys welcome back their star player for a massive showdown against the Green Bay Packers. Questions about the situation are flying, on both sides, as Parsons walks into AT&T Stadium in green and gold.
But once the game goes final, is there any closure on what transpired this offseason? Dak Prescott was asked as such, saying answers can be found elsewhere. Prescott seemingly moved on once Parsons got dealt to Green Bay.
“You gotta ask Jerry (Jones) and Micah,” Parsons said via Jon Machota of The Athletic . “To me, the closure happened when the trade happened.”
Still, it’s no secret how good of friends Parsons and Prescott are. The two competed with each other on nearly a daily basis despite being teammates. After all, NFL players spend almost all of training camp going up against one another.
This will be the first time Parsons is allowed to hit Prescott, though. Usually, the Cowboys quarterback wore a red non-contact jersey during practice. Prescott will be in a normal white uniform on Sunday, the same as the other 10 offensive players out there. He expects the competitive edge to remain the same.
