Dak Prescott’s offensive heater puts him in elite company

The Dallas Cowboys offense soared to new heights on Sunday, dominating the division-rival Washington Commanders in a statement 44-22 victory.  With All-Pro receiver CeeDee Lamb back in the lineup after a three-game absence, quarterback Dak Prescott finally had his full complement of playmakers at his disposal, and he took advantage. The 32-year-old completed 21-of-30 passes for 264 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions. The biggest strike came in the middle of the second quarter when he hit Lamb in stride on a deep post for a 74-yard score.  Since taking over the starting quarterback job from Tony Romo in 2016, Prescott has had his fair share of ups-and-downs. His best seasons have been up there with the game’s elite, such as his 2023 MVP runner-up campaign where he led the NFL with 410 completions and 36 passing touchdowns.
